About the University

  •    The University was established in July 2008, but traces its roots back to 1887.
  •    The main campus is located in Wrexham, North East Wales.
  •    Other Glyndŵr University campuses are located in Northop, Flintshire and Denbighshire (St Asaph). The Northop campus delivers rural and land-based courses.
  •    Glyndŵr University offers more than 250 courses. These range from foundation degrees, HND/Cs and honours degrees to masters degrees and doctorates.
  •    The University has more than 6,000 students, with 2,000+ from overseas.

             
Glyndŵr University and Business Glyndŵr University’s courses are driven by industry, providing courses which deliver graduates with the skills that employers are looking for.

The University actively works with business to develop its courses. Partners with industry include:

  •    Airbus UK
  •    Daimler Chrysler
  •    Rolls Royce
  •    Japanese food company San Ei-Gen One of the University’s newest business degrees, in Logistics Operations Management, was developed in conjunction with PRL Training, a fully-accredited training organisation for the logistics, passenger and construction industries.

The University recently launched its new Glyndŵr Management Centre. The facility sits at the heart of the business community on Wrexham Industrial Estate – one of the largest industrial estates in Europe – just a short distance from the University’s main campus.

The Centre was setup to deliver top class training and business services right on their doorstep.

Glyndŵr Management Centre is also home to the North Wales branch for Leadership Management Wales (LMW). LMW is a Welsh Assembly Government sponsored project that aims to improve and enhance leadership and management skills in Wales.

     

Glyndŵr University and LSMS LSMS students who enrol on the Glyndŵr University programmes get the following:
