Academic Support

  In addition to the undergraduate and postgraduate courses, LSMS offers the following optional support programmes to students.

Admission Criteria
All of the following programmes will be available only to students who have already been offered a place on an LSMS undergraduate or postgraduate course. They will not be available as standalone programmes.

While these are optional programmes, in some cases LSMS can stupulate enrolment on one or both of these programmes as mandatory for admission to the main course of study.


Pre-Sessional English
This is an intensive programme for students who want to bring their English up to speed.
Eligibility: All students
Duration: 3 months (15 hours of tuition per week)
Fees: £450
Course Content Includes: Grammar and vocabulary, listening, writing skills with special emphasis on dissertations, speaking and pronunciation


Masters Preparatory Programme and Bachelors Preparatory Programme
These are support programmes that will help students prepare for the demands of the masters and bachelors courses.
Eligibility for Masters Preparatory Programme: MBA students
Eligibility for Bachelors Preparatory Programme: BA/BSc students
Duration: 3 months (15 hours of tuition per week)
Fees: £450
Course Content Includes: Reading and research, seminar skills, academic writing, introduction to main programme of study

LSMS is also an authorised test centre for Cambridge BULATS.
