Life in the UK FAQs

Life in the FAQs

What is cost of living in the UK?

We strongly suggest to our students to budget a minimum of £7,200 per year for undergraduate study and £9,600 per year for postgraduate study. This indicative amount is in addition to the tuition fees and it should cover accommodation, food, entertainment, transport, insurance, etc. Obviously, much depending on the life style, some students would need less and others more.

Can I work in the UK?

Yes. Many students supplement their income by working part-time (20 hours) during term time and working full-time during vacation.

Can I work in UK after completion of my course?

After successful completion of an undergraduate degree or a post graduate degree from a recognised body in UK, overseas students can apply for a Tier 1 PBS (post study work visa) which will enable you to work full-time for 2 years. For more information please visit UKBA website: www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk

Do you provide accommodation?
